Do you shoot digital or film? Why?
We shoot digital exclusively. The advantages to shooting digital are clear. Unlimited images can be captured and presented to the client without additional expense involved. Photographers who shoot film MUST always consider the number of rolls that they’ve brought which results in many lost moments. Not so with digital. The quality of the images are terrific with digital as well.

How many images do you shoot for a typical wedding?
Every event is different and thus the number of images will vary. In general, anywhere between 200-500 images will be photographed per hour depending on the photographer and the dynamics of the event.

Why don’t you offer set packages like other studios?
We cater to couples that like the flexibility of not having to commit to print and album packages. Today, many young couples like the idea of owning their images and printing them and doing their albums themselves, saving considerable expense and resulting in much faster turnaround time. With that being said, we are also happy to provide you with professional prints and albums at additional expense.

How would you describe your photography style?
We approach a couple’s wedding with a combined style of creative portraiture and photojournalism (candids). We believe that this approach offers the best of both worlds and captures a broader view of the couple and their guests than one style.

What is the required deposit?
We require a 50% deposit to secure our photography services for your wedding date.

When do we receive the images?
Depending on time of year, the images on CD or DVD will be in your hands within 4 weeks of your event or less.

Do you do table shots?
We've found that couples and guests find table shots to be very intrusive, especially when people are eating. We use an alternate approach. We will visit the tables and photograph couples or small groups together prior to and after the serving of any food. Guests much prefer this. Of course, if there are select tables that couples insist on having photographed, we are happy to comply.

Is there an extra charge for shooting multiple locations between the ceremony and reception sites?
Generally, no. ALthough we can accomodate you fro an extra fuel charge.

What are your recommendations for time frame for wedding photography?
Typically, we'll shoot from an hour prior to the wedding ceremony up through the formal dances. However, we are more than happy to shoot whatever duration you would like.

How many photographers do you have shooting an event?
One. We've never had a couple express that photos were missed due to not having enough photographers. A good photographer should be able to sufficiently capture a wedding. A second shooter adds considerable expense and is almost never necessary. However, when a second shooter is needed, we are more than happy to provide one.

We're new at this. How do we schedule things so that our day goes smoothly?
When meeting with your photographer, she'll consult with you on how to plan your day so as to make your day flow smoothly. Although he is not a wedding coordinator, his goal is to see his couples enjoy their day and to help remove any scheduling obstacles that may create unnecessary stress. This is an added benefit to experience.

Why do you give away the images?
You deserve them. You paid for them. We know that weddings are expensive and we can appreciate this fact. There is a lot of expense in paying for proofs and albums. Since digital photography has come of age, couples' expectations have changed. Couples don't want to pay for boxes full of pictures that they'll never look at. We like working with couples who appreciate quality and value, but who are also resourceful. Couples love us because we approach their day with their needs in mind. We're also able to turn around and get couples their images very quickly. You've heard stories about photographers taking 1-2 years to get the photos/albums to their couples. To us, that's unacceptable.

Why should we hire you?
Look at our images, our pricing and the fact that you own your images. The question is, why shouldn't you.

When can we meet?
We are able to meet between 10am and 7pm M-Th and 11am and 4pm on Fridays. Weekends are usually booked with events.

What happens if our photographer becomes ill?
We have a photographer available to serve as primary shooters or backups in the event of emergency.

Do you have backup equipment?
Absolutely. Every photographer is required to bring backup of everything in the event of technical problems.

We live out of town, but would like to hire you without meeting. Is this possible?
Naturally, it's preferable for us to meet you directly, however, that is not always possible. Oftentimes, we will be hired without a meeting and would happy to work with you if we're available for your date.

I see you're located in PA. We love your work. Are you willing to shoot a wedding out of state?
Thanks for the complement. Sure. When shooting out of state, we do. Please inquire about pricing.
